Our Practice
Our Team
HRC Counselling group represents Megan Hemlow, Holly Raymond, and Jeffrey Corrin, the three founding therapists of the collective practice. Our therapists each bring different specialties, rates and experience to the group, ensuring confidence in the therapist you have chosen.
With over 18 years of experience in addiction and mental health, I bring both depth of knowledge and genuine care to the work I do. I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals in a variety of settings, helping them gain clarity, overcome challenges, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. I hold degrees from University of Toronto, Toronto Metropolitan University, McMaster University and the University of Regina. I have worked in hospitals, addiction rehab programs, crisis centres, counselling centers and intensive treatment programs. To learn more about me click here)
I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use, and life’s more difficult transitions—including grief and relationship challenges. My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented, whether we’re focusing on practical steps forward or exploring deeper, more personal growth—such as building self-acceptance and a stronger sense of identity.
Together, we’ll work to uncover the underlying issues that may be holding you back, while developing strategies that help you feel more balanced, capable, and confident in your day-to-day life.
While I take the therapeutic process seriously, I also believe it doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. I strive to create a space that is warm, approachable, and even enjoyable—where you can feel comfortable being yourself and supported every step of the way.
I offer virtual sessions for your convenience, with availability on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.
Session fees are $165, and services are covered by many extended health care plans.

ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
"Onward and upward" is my mantra.
I have had the privilege of supporting clients in working through obstacles, and transforming their lives for over 18 years. My focus is on helping clients identify what it important to them, and move towards a more rich and meaningful life. An essential part of this process is identifying what is "sticky" or getting in the way of change, and developing the skills to cope differently. I provide a safe space where one can observe their thoughts and emotions, without judgement. Don't let fear or apathy get in the way of moving forward.
Although I have specialized in mental health and addictions throughout my career, I consider any type of change management to be my area of speciality. Whether it be adapting to loss, making a change in behavior, relationship challenges or creating life balance.
I work with children and adults of all ages. I have some flexibility in appointment times and offer weekend appointments.
I can be reached through the following avenues:
Brookside Therapy and Assessments - (844) 405-5300, session fee is $180.00
Bayridge Counselling - (905) 319-1488, session fee is $143.00

Be gentle with yourself. I believe that kindness starts from within and when we start to be kind to ourselves, our lives begin to change. Counseling is a good place to learn how to grow, change and be kind. I believe that counseling should be an essential part of people’s lives – as a way to pause, reflect and grow. I’ve had the privilege of helping people grow for almost ten years now and it has also helped me to grow in return. I’ve grown and taken something meaningful out of every person I have worked it. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, and believe that you get what you put in it – and sometimes starting counseling comes before the motivation to do it kicks in, and sometimes it is hard, but in the end the effort is worth it.
I have spent the last decade helping people make sense of their lives in many capacities. Through this time I have gained valuable experience working in hospitals, community agencies, primary care clinics and correctional institutions. I have completed my education in Social work, Social Policy and Psychology through Ryerson and McMaster Universities. In addition to my degrees I continue to be involved in ongoing education and training; I am trained and experienced working within multiple therapeutic modalities, and when I am not at my private practice I can be found working at our local Emergency Departments and Family Health Teams.
Though my expertise lives within child and family mental health, I see myself as a generalist and I am open and comfortable to working with all sorts of ages and issues from anger management, depression, and anxiety to trauma and childhood abuse.
When not working I can usually be found with my dog, Chloe, rowing with Leander on The Hamilton Harbour or shopping at the Hamilton Farmer’s Market.
